This is reported by the State Corporation “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, which supplies gas to the majority of household consumers in the country.

The company explained that one of the main reasons for the debt is incorrect payment. This may apply to situations where the payment is made using incorrect details or funds are transferred to the wrong account. In such cases, the money does not reach the company, and it is automatically considered that the payment has not been made.

Another common problem is paying bills using old receipts, without checking the current data. This can also lead to a situation where the funds are not credited to the required account.

As a result, consumers receive payments with debts the following month, which can be an unpleasant surprise, since they are convinced that all payments were made on time.

Naftogaz recommends that you always check your details before making each payment. Residents can find up-to-date payment details in their account on the company’s website or in the payment service they use.

The company also emphasizes the importance of keeping payment receipts, which may be helpful in case of disputes.
