Judges charged Rybak with inconsistencies in declarations worth half a million hryvnias
The trial of judge Ivan Rybak, who failed to declare property worth over half a million hryvnias in his declarations, has begun in Kyiv. Today, the Solomyanskyi District Court will decide whether he will be held accountable for the violations identified.
According to the Telegram channel “Vykryvach”, the discussion of three NACP protocols regarding Rybak is taking place on July 29. Inaccurate data exceeding 500 thousand hryvnias was found in his declarations for 2021–2023.
In particular, it is worth paying attention to 12 acres of land in Moshchun, which have belonged to Rybak’s wife since 2021, but were not included in his declarations. Rybak explained the lack of information by saying that “the deed of boundary marks has not been signed,” while according to the law, ownership arises after registration.
Among other violations: differences in the area of an apartment in Kyiv, undeclared garages, unfinished construction, and the wife’s funds directed to the Construction Financing Fund.
It is also known that Rybak fired Berkut member Sadovnyk, who later fled to Russia, and ignored the corruption scandal related to the embezzlement of 1.7 billion UAH for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
His declaration does not reflect his residence in an apartment belonging to his son, and indicates a cottage for his mother-in-law. The car he indicated as new is old and belongs to a relative. The judge continues to live in an official apartment that he received in 2008.
Today, the judge will find out whether he will be held accountable. Earlier, the High Council of Justice decided not to hold him responsible for disciplinary action in 2024, despite the scandal in which he was involved.
