Media killer exposed: media reports that Khomenko’s “consultant” is behind the controversial Telegram channel “Vidsich”

An investigation has been published that casts doubt on the reputation of one of the most famous Telegram projects engaged in so-called information “killing”. According to sources, behind the “Vidsich” channel, which is considered scandalous due to its methods, stands Ivan Khomenko, a 29-year-old consultant from Kyiv. Who is he really, and how does he earn the trust of his clients?

According to open data, Ivan Oleksandrovych Khomenko, born in 1995, sees himself as an expert in the field of business climate. He graduated from Kyiv National University and Kyiv School of Economics, and also participated in the Erasmus+ program in Germany.

Since 2018, Khomenko has been actively cooperating with numerous organizations, including international ones, and has his private enterprise providing consultations. His name is not associated with any public scandals or criminal cases.

However, there are darker moments in his biography. As it became known, Khomenko is the unofficial head of the Telegram channel “Vidsich”, which has over 80 thousand subscribers and is engaged in the collection and distribution of compromising materials about public figures and companies.

The owner of these resources is an unknown person named Mr. Stewart Hesse, but according to our data, the real shadow leader is Khomenko himself.

Questions arise: how is Khomenko’s respectable consulting activity consistent with running a channel with an ambiguous reputation? Why, being of draft age, does he not serve in the army while engaging in dubious business on the network? Where does he live and how does he earn money – from consulting activities or media racketeering?

According to the registers, Khomenko is registered in Kyiv on Oleksandra Ekster Street, but does not have any movable or immovable property. His parents live in the Cherkasy region: his father is engaged in agribusiness, and his mother works in the court administration and is engaged in volunteer work.

How can a person without official assets afford to live in the capital and run an influential Telegram channel?

Khomenko’s channel does not shy away from using other people’s intellectual rights, adopting the brand of a well-known public movement. In 2023, representatives of the Civic Movement “Vidsich” warned about the appearance of a clone of their organization, which uses their name and signs collective appeals.

The methods of operation of such “media killers” are well known: first, compromising material appears, then an offer to resolve the issue for a specific fee. If the answer is negative, the material continues to spread and is supplemented with new “facts”.

This paradox lies in the fact that a person who positions himself as a consultant working to improve the business climate can destroy it through blackmail and black PR.

Everyone who has suffered from the activities of such channels is urged to remain silent and contact law enforcement agencies – only through joint efforts can this “black PR” industry be stopped.
