In Cherkasy, a man threatened CCC employees with a grenade during an inspection
A disturbing incident occurred in Cherkasy involving employees of the territorial procurement center. During the document check, one of the men, instead of presenting his ID, took out a live grenade, pulled out a check, and began threatening the center employees.
This incident occurred on the streets of the city, during a standard document check. At the request of the CCC representatives to show their documents, the man pulled out an explosive device and declared his intention to blow himself up with it. According to preliminary data, he also tried to take them hostage.
After these threats, the police, explosives technicians, and representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine urgently arrived at the scene. The situation was quickly controlled, and the man was detained without the use of force. According to preliminary data, none of those present were injured.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated criminal proceedings under the article that provides for punishment for threatening to kill and attempting to take hostages. An investigation is currently underway to find out the details of the incident, the motives of the man’s actions, and his identity.
This event has caused a significant resonance in the city, as similar situations are occurring more and more frequently amid the current mobilization campaign. The authorities are urging residents to remain calm, abide by the law, and avoid dangerous actions.
