Russia carried out a missile strike on Lozova: infrastructure damaged, civilians injured

Consequences of the night shelling of Lozova: destruction, injured children, and destroyed infrastructure.

On the night of August 5, the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region suffered the most significant rocket attack since the beginning of the war. Residential buildings, the private sector, and critical facilities were hit.

Mayor Serhiy Zelensky stressed that two children were also among the victims. Rescuers and medics are working at the scene, providing the necessary assistance.

At the same time, some areas were left without electricity. In particular, the territories of Avylovka and Katerynivskyi starostynskyi districts were left without electricity. In parallel, the restoration of the water supply in the city is underway.

Zelensky called on residents to inform the authorities of any damage caused by the shelling.

The mayor also announced adjustments to the public transport schedule. He noted that this night was an absolute terror for sleeping civilians, and added that the aggressors would sooner or later be punished for their actions.

Shelling of railway infrastructure: casualties and injuries

Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed that the railway station and other facilities were attacked. Although many people managed to take shelter, one of the mechanics on duty died, and four more workers were injured. The injured are receiving medical care.

Adjustments in train traffic and transport logistics

Due to damage on the railway, train No. 66/65 — 166/165 on the Uman — Cherkasy — Kharkiv route is being diverted. The same applies to other trains heading to Kramatorsk. The diversion is carried out under a reserve diesel locomotive, which may cause delays of up to an hour. Passengers from and to Lozovaya transfer to buses in Panyutynoye.
