Katsurina Restaurant in Lviv Resumes Operations After Poisoning — Consecration Ceremony Before Resumption of Work

Restaurateur Mykhailo Katsurin, who, together with visitors, suffered the consequences of poisoning in his Lviv restaurant, announced the resumption of work of the “Chinese Greeting” establishment on August 5. On the eve of the opening, the restaurant was consecrated by a priest.

Katsurin shared the news about his return to the gastronomic map of Lviv on his page on the social network.

According to him, the establishment has undergone a complete transformation, both technically and spiritually. Before starting work again, the premises were consecrated by a priest.

“Whatever the standards, without a blessing – nowhere,” the restaurateur noted.

Given the possible adverse reaction after the poisoning scandal, he noted that raw chicken eggs will no longer be used in the kitchen. They have been replaced with pasteurized mixtures that meet hygienic requirements.

In addition, the kitchen was equipped with the international food safety system ISO22000, which operates in well-known global chains and large-scale production. This system provides control over all potential hazards – from the purchase of products to serving the dish.

Katsurin spoke about the changes that have occurred in the kitchen after the incident:

– Every morning, the sous chef receives a new uniform – clothes are not reused without washing.

– All cooks walk through a disinfection mat that destroys bacteria from shoes.

– The kitchen is divided into zones, each of which has separate taps, soap, and paper towels.

– Taps are equipped with UV disinfectants for water purification.

– Germicidal lamps are constantly working for additional air purification.

In addition, the restaurateur presented a detailed chain of product processing – from the supplier to the customer’s plate, focusing on cleanliness, order, and automated control of each stage.

He also emphasized the importance of medical monitoring of the staff. Previously, employees underwent a formal medical examination; however, the restaurant has now signed a contract with a medical institution that conducts thorough checks.

Finally, a symbolic step was the consecration of the premises by a priest, which marked the beginning of a new stage in the life of the restaurant.

The Chinese Hello restaurant will reopen on August 5.
