It has been revealed which film was the most successful in Brad Pitt's career

The racing blockbuster “Formula 1” became the highest-grossing film of actor Brad Pitt’s career, with the film’s worldwide gross exceeding $545 million. Previously, this record was held by the 2013 film “World War Z”, which earned $540 million (not taking into account inflation). Pitt also produced both films. The costs of the new movie are estimated at $200-300 million.

“Formula 1” became the most successful project of Apple Studios, surpassing notable releases such as “Napoleon” and “Killers of the Flower Moon”. Joseph Kosinski, known for “Top Gun: Maverick”, took the director’s chair. The film starred Brad Pitt, Damon Idris, Javier Bardem, and Kerry Condon.

The film follows former Formula One driver Sonny Haze, played by Pitt, as he returns to racing to help young talent Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris) and save the struggling team.

The film received positive reviews from critics, with an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 68 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Formula One’s box office performance remains impressive six weeks after its release. In its final week, the film earned an additional $17.2 million from 78 international markets, bringing its total foreign revenue to $372.3 million. It also topped the domestic box office, with a 36% increase in its sixth week.

Brad Pitt’s previous record was set more than a decade ago, when World War Z was the highest-grossing film of all time.

The impressive scenes, emotional depth, and dynamics made Formula 1 one of the main film events of 2025.

In addition, the 60-year-old Hollywood actor attracted attention thanks to a video that caused a storm of reactions from fans. The recording shows Pitt, dressed in a white racing suit, getting out of the car after an accident, trying to move and, ultimately, falling.
