Poland increases supervision: sanctions for Ukrainians for non -compliance with border standards

With the advent of the new resolution of the Polish National Defense Ministry, the border guards were able to impose financial sanctions on foreigners, including Ukrainians who violate the established rules in the border areas or during employment.

According to information widely available, Polish border services were entitled to impose penalties on Ukrainian citizens for various violations related to migration norms and staying in border areas. According to a new resolution that will come into force in the near future, the amount of fines can reach significant sums – up to UAH 110 thousand.

This initiative is part of the implementation of the Fatherland Defense Law, which determines the responsibility for fixing in photos and videos of strategic objects concerning border infrastructure. Particularly focused on the ban on shooting the objects and workers located there. Breakdown of these norms can result in both penalties and arrest.

The publication notes that border guards can punish not only at checkpoints, but also at other vital objects related to their official activities.

Law enforcement officers will also receive new opportunities to impose penalties on foreigners who violate employment rules in Poland. Amendments to the legislation provide for fines of up to 10 thousand zlotys for improper employment, which in the course of the zloty is about UAH 113 thousand.
