Cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden in the field of military aviation — meeting between Zelensky and Kristersson
Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, during which they discussed the current situation on the front and the diplomatic context. The leaders of the countries also considered the possibilities of further cooperation, in particular in the development of the Ukrainian aviation fleet.
Zelenskyy stressed that Sweden, together with other Nordic countries, stands for a quick, fair, and reliable end to the conflict, emphasizing the importance of pressure on Russia. He noted that the Russian Federation must take the first step to end the war it started.
The leaders agreed on further coordination of actions between Ukraine and Sweden aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s positions in the international arena. During the conversation, the format of future meetings and the organization of visits in the near future were also agreed upon.
Cooperation in the field of military aviation was also discussed. Zelensky noted that the leading combat platforms on which the Ukrainian air fleet will be based in the further stages of the conflict are currently being determined. Both sides agreed that the Ukrainian and Swedish teams will carefully work out all the technical and strategic details of this partnership.
