Weather forecast for August 11: strong winds and rain in western and central regions of Ukraine

On Tuesday, August 11, forecasters predict significant wind gusts, thunderstorms, and short-term rains that will affect the western regions, as well as specific areas of central and southern Ukraine.

In particular, at night in the Rivne region and the regional center, thunderstorms are expected, accompanied by strong gusts of north-westerly wind at the level of 15–20 m/s.

In the Lviv region, short-term precipitation and thunderstorms are possible at night, but the rains will stop during the day. The wind will be north-westerly, with a speed of 7–12 m/s. The temperature at night will fluctuate from 9 to 14 degrees, and during the day it will rise to 20–25 degrees. In Lviv, temperatures are expected to range from 10–12 degrees at night to 22–24 degrees during the day.

In the Ternopil region, short-term rains are predicted at night, while thunderstorms are possible in Ternopil. There will be no precipitation during the day. Northwest wind 7–12 m/s, temperature at night — 12–17, during the day — 21–26 degrees.

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, light rains are also expected at night with wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s. The temperature in Ivano-Frankivsk at night will be 13–15 degrees, during the day — 23–25 degrees, and throughout the region at night — 11–16, during the day — 20–25 degrees.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, thunderstorms with rain are predicted at night, and in the morning and during the day, the wind may increase to 15–20 m/s. The temperature regime at night is 13–18 degrees, and during the day, it is 20–25 degrees. In Khmelnytskyi, the temperature at night will be 13–15 degrees, and during the day, 22–24 degrees.

The deterioration of weather conditions will also cover other regions of Ukraine. In Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions, strong wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are forecasted during the day.

In the Kyiv region, rain is possible at night, with the air temperature dropping to 12 degrees. During the day, it will be recorded at about 20 degrees.

Odesa region also expects night precipitation, the wind will increase to 9–14 m/s, and the temperature will rise to 33 degrees during the day.

Thunderstorms are forecast in the Sumy region on August 11.

As for the Kirovohrad region, light rain is possible there. The temperature will be 13 degrees at night, and during the day it will rise to 28 degrees.

In the Kharkiv region, short-term rain will occur at night, and local thunderstorms are possible during the day. The temperature will fluctuate from 13 degrees at night to 27 degrees during the day.
