Rapid Mobilization: What Men Should Know About 25-Year-Olds
The Government of Ukraine has adopted new regulations on military registration, which apply to men who have reached the age of 25. In accordance with the new resolution, changes have been made to the procedure for maintaining military registration, which lawyer Maryna Bekalo reported.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1487, territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCK and SP) must automatically enter information into the Unified State Register of Conscripts and Military Conscripts within 30 days after citizens reach the age of 25. This data includes the assignment of the military rank of “reserve soldier (sailor)” and assignment to the second category of the reserve.
Thus, men who have reached this age automatically become military conscripts without the need for a personal summons to the TCK. However, internally displaced persons (IDPs) are required to appear in person at the TCK for military registration at their new place of residence, even if they do not have official registration.
As we recall, experts previously said that the fight against evasion continues to raise questions about its effectiveness. The nuances associated with receiving “combat” summonses, which can sometimes be considered inappropriate, were also discussed.
