Innovations in the financial sector: deferral, deposits and limits
The Ukrainian banking system remains stable, even in challenging conditions. Recently, several significant events have taken place in the financial sector.
The National Bank of Ukraine officially appointed Serhiy Nikolaychuk to the position of First Deputy Governor of the NBU, following the end of Kateryna Rozhkova’s term. Nikolaychuk will address issues of financial stability, as well as temporary monetary stability.
Launch of Diya.Card
The Ministry of Digital Transformation presented the new Diya. Card – a universal bank card that will ensure the receipt of all government payments. It is already available for registration in four banks: PrivatBank, Monobank, Abank, and Credit Dnipro. This card can be used to receive payments under the eMalyuk, eKnyga programs, IDP support, pensions, military bonds, and other social programs.
Changes in deposit rates
Four banks announced changes in deposit rates. Only Kominbank increased interest rates for hryvnia deposits for 3, 6, and 9 months, while reducing rates on annual deposits. Ukreximbank, FUIB, and Credit Dnipro reduced rates for both hryvnia and foreign currency deposits.
Cashback from MTB Bank
MTB Bank has introduced a new cashback program for Visa cards. In August, clients receive 2% cashback on purchases in cafes and restaurants, and in September, the bank plans to add new categories of expenses for accruing cashback.

Card replenishment via City24 terminals
Since August 14, Accordbank clients can replenish their cards and repay loans at City24 terminals without incurring any fees.
