NBU renews management team: Serhiy Nikolaychuk appointed First Deputy Chairman

The National Bank Council appointed Serhiy Nikolaychuk to replace Rozhkova, who had previously held the position of Deputy Governor since July 2021. He was entrusted with managing the Financial Stability vertical, as well as temporarily distributing responsibilities in the Monetary Stability area.
The National Bank noted that the search for a candidate for the permanent position of Deputy Governor, who will be responsible for the Monetary Stability unit, has already begun. The responsibilities of this unit include the departments of monetary policy, statistics, reporting, and international cooperation.
NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny expressed his gratitude to Kateryna Rozhkova for her long and fruitful work, and also acknowledged her significant contributions to the development of Ukraine’s financial system. He also congratulated Serhiy Nikolaychuk on his new appointment.

Kateryna Viktorivna Rozhkova is a Ukrainian banker who has held managerial positions at the National Bank of Ukraine for over ten years.
Born on April 27, 1972, in Kyiv. She received her education at Kyiv National Economic University, graduating in 1997 with a degree in Finance and Credit, with a focus on Banking Management. In 2002, she received an MBA degree from the International Institute of Management (MIM-Kyiv).
Career:
1998–2005 — Bank Aval (from economist to director of the financial department).
2006–2008 — Erste Bank (Deputy Chairman of the Board, Member of the Board, Advisor to the Chairman).
2008–2009 — Head of the Department of Non-Visit Banking Supervision of the NBU.
2010–2013 — Deputy Chairman of the Board of Finbank (Odesa).
2013–2015 — Deputy Chairman, Acting Chairman of the Board of Platinum Bank.
2015–2016 — Director of the Department of Banking Supervision of the NBU.
Since January 2016 — Deputy Chairman of the NBU, since June 2018 — First Deputy.
In 2020, she temporarily served as the Chairman of the NBU.
During her career at the NBU, Rozhkova became an active participant in essential reforms in the banking sector, including during periods of financial crises, pandemics, and wars. She was also included in the list of the top 100 successful women of Ukraine and recognized as one of the most influential managers in the financial sector over the last decade.
She is raising two children.
