Easy money: 1-hryvnia coins from 2022 can be sold for up to UAH 7,000

Coins with a denomination of one hryvnia, which were issued in 2022, are currently actively in circulation. Among them, you can find rare specimens that will interest collectors and can be sold for a lot of money.

Hryvnias with so-called factory defects that occur during minting deserve special attention from numismatists. The most valuable defects include:

Reverse rotation by 180 degrees – when the image of Prince Volodymyr the Great turns out to be upside down;
Two obverses or two reverses – when the same image is minted on both sides.
At one of the auctions in 2023, a price of 7,000 hryvnias was recorded for a coin with two obverses, highlighting the collectors’ interest in such defects.
