Weather August 23: rain and gusty winds in various regions

On Saturday, August 23, variable cloudiness and rain are expected in Ukraine, according to the forecasts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

During the day, significant rains with thunderstorms are possible in the central, southern, and Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Hail and strong wind gusts with a speed of 15–20 m/s are forecast in the eastern and southeastern areas. The weather will be mainly dry in the western regions.

Wind and temperature

The wind is mostly north-westerly, and in the eastern regions, south-westerly, mainly with a speed of 7–12 m/s.

The temperature at night will vary from +9° to +14°, while during the day, it is expected to rise to +17 ° to +22° in most regions. In the southeastern areas, it will be warmer: at night +15..+20°, during the day +26..+31°.

Central and Southern Regions: Significant rain and thunderstorms possible.

Eastern and Southeastern Regions: Local squalls and hail.

Western Regions: No precipitation.

Forecasters recommend that Ukrainians be careful on the road, avoid open spaces during thunderstorms, and take possible squalls into account when planning outdoor walks.
