Check your wallets: people are willing to pay 20 thousand hryvnias for this coin
Among the old coins, there can be real treasures that can bring you significant money. Some kopecks issued in the early 1990s in Ukraine are now valued so highly that you can receive up to tens of thousands of hryvnias for them.
1 kopeck of 1992 of the rare type 3ГАм attracts special attention. Collectors are ready to pay no less than 20,000 hryvnias for it. The value of this coin is determined by its unique features. There are no petioles in the clusters near the numbers 4 and 8, and the middle tooth of the trident has a thickened shape, which distinguishes it from ordinary specimens.
Another interesting coin is a 1 kopeck of 1992 of the type 5.1ДАг. If it is preserved in good condition, its value can range from 5,000 to 7,000 hryvnias. Among its unique features are the rounded and thick middle tooth of the trident, the second cluster in the form of an obtuse triangle, as well as the lower tail of the letter “Ю”, which touches the letter “Н”. The rim of this coin is smooth, without notches.
It should be noted that even a rare coin can lose its value due to wear or damage, so the state of preservation is one of the key factors in determining the price on the numismatic market.
Why are these coins of interest to collectors? In recent years, Ukrainian coins have been appearing more actively at auctions, and the demand for them is growing both in Ukraine and abroad. Some specimens acquire the status of trophies for which fierce trade is conducted.
So, if you have an old change stuck at the bottom of your wallet, carefully examine it – perhaps among the ordinary kopecks there is a coin that will bring you several thousand hryvnias or even more.
As a reminder, some coins, such as 1 hryvnia, can cost from 11,000 to 40,000 hryvnia. Don’t forget to check your wallets!
