Night strike by the Russian Federation: destroyed railway in Kyiv region and destruction in Zaporizhia
On the night of Saturday, August 30, Ukrainian regions were subjected to a massive attack by Russian troops using mortars, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. Explosions were heard in several cities.
Kyiv region: damage to railway infrastructure
As a result of shelling, the railway infrastructure in the Kyiv region was damaged. In this regard, several trains arriving in the capital are delayed by at least two hours.
The following flights are delayed:
№74 Przemysl – Kharkiv;
№24 Chełm – Kyiv;
№144 Rakhiv – Sumy;
№2 Ivano-Frankivsk – Kharkiv;
№21 Kharkiv – Lviv;
№106 Odesa – Kyiv.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that railway workers have already begun work to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore the train schedule.
Zaporizhzhia: tragedy with victims and injured
According to the head of the OVA Ivan Fedorov, the number of injured in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 22, including two children: a ten-year-old and 16 a 16-year-old. Eight people were hospitalized.
The State Emergency Service confirmed the death of one person and reported that six were rescued.
“The impact was recorded in two five-story and five private residential buildings. Fires broke out, neighboring buildings were damaged,” the rescuers noted.
Fedorov added that at least 12 attacks were carried out in the city. Rescuers, medics, and pyrotechnicians are working at the scene.
Other regions
Reports of explosions also came from Dnipro and Pavlohrad. Information about the consequences of the situation is being clarified.
In addition, Sumy was attacked: the city suffered more than 10 explosions, without electricity or water. Part of Sumy was left without electricity, and facilities are being switched to backup power.
