Professions that may disappear in the near future: a list

Professions associated with routine tasks may be at risk of disappearing by 2030 due to changes in the global economy and the introduction of new technologies.

According to the State Employment Service, those whose work involves repetitive actions are most at risk. Such professions include:

librarians, whose services may become unnecessary due to electronic resources and digitalization;
cashiers, salespeople, and controllers, who automated service systems, ATMs, and online banking may replace;
postal workers such as postmen, who are already beginning to be replaced by email and automated delivery services;
data entry operators, administrative assistants, and secretaries, whose need is decreasing due to the automation of document flow;
call center employees, as chatbots based on artificial intelligence successfully handle a multitude of customer requests.
Why are these changes taking place?

Experts from the State Employment Service note that the main reason for the reduction of professions is the automation of processes and the rapid development of technologies. The human factor is becoming increasingly redundant in many areas due to the high efficiency of robotic solutions and advanced software, which enables employers to reduce costs and improve productivity.

But not everything is so gloomy. As some professions disappear, new ones appear, related to artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.

Earlier, there was talk of the possibility of restoring work experience in the event of the liquidation of the enterprise. It was also reported that in Ukraine, individuals can pay generously for banknotes with defects, and military commissars will be allowed to use weapons, sparking discussions about the punishments for evaders.
