Prince Harry, along with representatives of the Invictus Games Foundation, visited Kyiv at the invitation of the Ukrainian government. He emphasized his readiness to do everything possible to support service members who were seriously injured as a result of the war with the Russian Federation.

According to The Guardian, the prince said: “We are not able to stop the war, but we can help as much as possible with the recovery. It is essential to remember the fate of people and the experiences they endure. I hope that this trip will draw attention to the importance of supporting veterans.”

Harry said that he received his first invitation to Kyiv from Olga Rudneva, the founder of Superhumans, a medical institution that helps people with amputations. He visited the center in the spring and recently met Rudneva by chance in New York. “I asked what I could do to help, and she replied: it would be best if I came to Kyiv. After consultations with my wife and the British government, I received an official invitation,” the duke said.

During his visit, he plans to visit the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II and meet with 200 veterans invited to the event. The prince stressed that the trip will allow him to talk to veterans and see the consequences of the war with his own eyes.
