Volunteers delivered anti-drone nets from the Netherlands to the front

Volunteers continue to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian soldiers at the front, having recently delivered 11 trucks of agricultural netting from the Netherlands to Ukraine. This netting serves as anti-drone protection and helps create “roads of life” on the front line. The main challenge for the organizers is securing financing for transportation, as the delivery of one truck to Kyiv costs approximately 2,500 euros.

This was reported by the participants in the initiative in a story on the “United News” channel. Thanks to the combined efforts of the “Volunteer Battalion” Charity Fund, the “Techiya Foundation” NGO, the “Union of TV and Film Industry Entrepreneurs” NGO, the Life Guardians charity organization, the “Mixsmart Pomich” Charity Fund, and the “General Chereshnya” company, more than 2,000 tons of netting were delivered to the front as part of a joint program.

Anti-drone nets, which were delivered from the Netherlands, are used to camouflage military equipment and create safe routes for delivering cargo and evacuating the wounded. Ihor Bondarchuk from the Volunteer Battalion Foundation noted that the nets help defenders avoid drone strikes.

Roman Bochkala, co-founder of the foundation, emphasized the importance of support from abroad: “In the Netherlands, we were provided with nets for free, and this is the result of the work of the government and private companies.”

Rudolf Hakobyan, Director of Strategic Communications for General Chereshnya, clarified that the organization is responsible for the logistics and distribution of the nets, utilizing multi-layered structures to enhance the safety of the military.

Mykola Chykhantsev, deputy head of the NGO Union of Film and Television Industry Entrepreneurs, stated that the coordination and delivery process takes two to three weeks. Taras Borysyuk, a volunteer with the organization, added that they are already preparing to deliver more than 100 trucks for October.

Oleksandr Tyasko, head of the LIFE GUARDIANS Foundation, emphasized the importance of the “Website” project, which unites volunteers, businesses, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure safe routes for the delivery of ammunition and the evacuation of the wounded.

During the year, volunteers successfully organized the transportation of 150 truckloads of nets and created “roads of life” in various directions. The “Website” program, launched in the fall of 2024, is rapidly expanding thanks to the support of the Dutch government and commercial structures.

The company “General Chereshnya” plays a crucial role in this initiative, responsible for logistics and providing transportation support to volunteers. Volunteers are calling on everyone who wants to help to join this important cause, as the materials and their delivery are crucial to protecting the lives of both military personnel and civilians.
