The occupiers are charging new forces to Ukraine: a new stage of mobilization is being prepared in Russia

Kirill Budanov, head of the Military Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, warned of the possibility of a new mobilization in Russia, which is a serious threat to both Russia and Ukraine.

He noted that the chance of organizing a new wave of mobilization remains, despite Russia having already carried out a partial mobilization in 2022 and subsequently attempting to avoid a repetition. Budanov emphasized that the decision to mobilize could be a heavy blow to the country itself, but it should not be ruled out.

“Is it possible for the Russian Federation to carry out mobilization? Yes, it is quite real. Unfortunately, this is a serious threat,” he said.

The head of the Military Directorate believes that although the mass dispatch of conscripts appears illogical, the Kremlin can increase the number of mobilized personnel and send them into combat, regardless of the losses.

Commenting on the prospects of anti-war protests, Budanov noted that despite possible public discontent, such sentiments will not be able to stop Russia’s military plans at that time. “When mobilization begins, society will react negatively. However, this will not stop the Russian machine,” he concluded.
