Medicines, dental services and sanatoriums: medical benefits for UBD in September
In September, combatants will be eligible to receive medical benefits, which include various types of support.
Holders of combatant status (CVD) receive free medicines, dental services, rehabilitation, and other medical guarantees, according to information from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Service members with CVD status are eligible to receive free medicines, immunobiological drugs, and medical devices as prescribed by their doctors. To do this, you need to present a doctor’s prescription and a CVD certificate at the pharmacy. According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense, such drugs are prescribed only for the treatment of diseases that the Cabinet of Ministers determines. Therefore, it is essential to discuss the benefits with a doctor during a consultation and decide which pharmacies carry the necessary medicines.
Combatants are also entitled to free dental services, which include tooth extraction and treatment, as well as prosthetics without the use of precious metals. The cost of dental services should not exceed 24,952 hryvnias.
According to the law “On Social and Legal Protection of Military Personnel and Members of Their Families”, combatants can receive psychological rehabilitation free of charge. This procedure must be completed by military personnel who participated in combat operations, and the state covers the costs of travel to rehabilitation centers.
Combatants can also receive vouchers for sanatorium and resort treatment for up to 21 days, which is allowed once a year. If a military personnel member chooses therapy on their own, they may be eligible for compensation. To obtain compensation, you must submit an application, a medical certificate, copies of your military ID and UBD certificate, and also register with the social protection unit.
