Check your experience: pensioners will be charged a surcharge of about 500 UAH
In 2025, Ukrainian pensioners with insurance experience exceeding the legally established norms will be able to receive additional payments. The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported this.
The state is interested in ensuring that citizens remain active in the labor market for as long as possible. Hence, the pension system provides incentives for those who work more than the specified minimum. The longer the career path, the higher the final pension.
According to current rules, to retire at 60 years of age, you must have at least 32 years of experience, at 63 years of age, 22 years, and at 65, 15 years. If the length of service exceeds these indicators, each additional year gives the right to a supplement.
The amount of the supplement is 1% of the basic pension, but cannot exceed 1% of the subsistence minimum. In 2025, the subsistence minimum will be 2361 hryvnia, so the maximum bonus for one “extra” year of service will be 23.61 hryvnia.
Thus, if a pensioner has 10 years of overtime service, their monthly additional payment will be 236 hryvnia, and for 20 years of work above the norm, approximately 472 hryvnia. The law does not impose any restrictions on the number of years of overtime service, so the incentive will remain in place regardless of how long a person continues to work.
Earlier, it was reported that at least 80% of the salaries of those who are awarded increased pensions. There was also information about a proposal to increase pensions almost twice: those who will be lucky. Additionally, the issue of social assistance instead of a pension was considered: who can receive it and how.
