Changing the method of receiving a pension: detailed instructions from the PFU

In Ukraine, pensioners can receive their payments via bank cards or by mail. Currently, most people prefer the option with a card to receive monthly payments.

It is essential to note that with life changes, each pensioner has the option to easily adjust the method of receiving their funds. According to the press center of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, if the pension was previously received by mail, it is easy to switch to receiving it through a bank account.

How to change the method of receiving a pension?

Pensioners can transfer their payments from mail to a bank account at any time by submitting an appropriate application. This can be done:

in person, by visiting the Pension Fund service center at the place of residence;
online, using the Pension Fund of Ukraine electronic services web portal.
To change the method of receiving, you need to prepare several necessary documents. When visiting the service center, the pensioner must bring with them:

a passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
an identification code (RNOKPP);
bank details for transferring funds.
The details must meet the standards, which can be obtained at your bank branch.

If the transfer will be made online, it is necessary to provide the same documents in the form of scanned copies, adhering to specific requirements:

The maximum size of one file should not exceed 1 MB.
allowed formats: JPG, JPEG, or PDF;
Multi-page documents should be combined into one file.
scanned copies should be colored, clear, and readable;
Scanning should be carried out from the original documents, rather than making copies.
Having completed the preparation of the necessary scanned documents, the pensioner can log in to their personal account on the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s web portal and apply to transfer payments to a bank account.
