New predictions: scientists say 90% of Earth’s population could die

Earth could be on the brink of a catastrophic geomagnetic event that could wipe out up to 90% of humanity. A sudden shift in the magnetic poles, possibly caused by a solar “micronova,” could lead to tsunamis, climate catastrophes, and mass destruction, space weather expert Ben Davidson said in an interview.

Davidson said that while his theory of a solar “micronova” is not universally accepted in scientific circles, he believes in a geomagnetic cycle that he thinks is “unquestionable” science. This cycle, he said, repeats itself about every 6,000 years, with more intense events occurring every 12,000 years.

Since the early 1800s, the Earth’s magnetic field has weakened by approximately 15%, making the planet more vulnerable to devastating solar storms. Davidson stressed that the North and South magnetic poles are moving towards each other, approaching the Bay of Bengal, and auroras are increasingly being recorded at low latitudes, which indicates a weakening of the protective magnetic shield.

“We are observing events that are already happening now, which confirms that we are not just approaching a catastrophe, but it is already beginning, and this is a serious challenge,” the expert said.

He also claims that the Earth is already “late” to a catastrophe that could plunge humanity into a new “Dark Ages”, and this could happen within 10-25 years.

Davidson explains that the weakening of the magnetic field is due to natural changes in the flows of molten iron in the outer core of our planet. These flows are unstable, resulting in a decrease in the magnetic field and a shift in the magnetic poles. He believes that these changes represent similar geomagnetic excursions in the Earth’s history.
