Ways to get a discount on utilities: three options

There are families in Ukraine who are eligible to receive discounts on utilities. The Pension Fund provides information on how to apply for these benefits.

Families raising three or more children under 18 years of age can receive a 50% discount on utility bills.

This right is enshrined in Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine “On Childhood Protection” and covers several aspects:

payment of housing within the established standards – 21 m² for each family member and an additional 10.5 m² in all;
payment of utilities in accordance with the social standards established by the government;
Provision of fuel is necessary when there is no centralized heating and gas or electricity is not available.
To receive the privilege, the average monthly income per family member over the last six months may not exceed 4,240 UAH.

The discount can be made in three ways:

Personally, visit the PFC Service Center, CNAP, or local authorities to apply and verify your documents.
By mail – send an application and copies of documents by registered letter, including a description of the attachments.
Online – Use the PFC Electronic Services or mobile app, which allows you to apply remotely and track the progress of your application.
We will also remind that recently, Ukrainians received assistance for payment of utilities, which is not a subsidy or privilege. Additionally, there are categories of consumers who can afford only 25% of the utility costs.
