“I’ve been telling my kids the same thing for 17 years. Can it be boring?” – the teacher responded to criticism

Teachers are often criticized for not being able to captivate students, which is why the latter find learning boring. English teacher Iryna Dralyuk expressed her thoughts on this problem in her TikTok video.

She said that she has been working in school for 17 years, and today the teacher has to constantly transform, become a “clown” and offer various activities to arouse interest in children. According to Iryna, school activities should be focused on students, but the demands on teachers are constantly increasing.

“Students do not engage in lessons during lessons, they just lie on their desks or look out the window. They are not interested, because learning seems boring. The teacher has to be a clown one moment, and someone else the next to maintain their attention. And what should the children do during this time?” she noted.

The teacher emphasized that she has been explaining the same thing to her students for many years.

“I’ve been giving the same information to children for 17 years. It wouldn’t be boring for me, but we constantly need to look for new approaches, but the requirements for us don’t change,” she was indignant.

In the comments to the video, many users supported the teacher’s opinion. Some of them noted that they have been feeling like animators lately. Others pointed out the problem when teachers have to motivate students, although parents often do not realize their responsibilities in raising children.

The teachers noted that they chose this profession consciously, and if they don’t like this role, perhaps they should think about changing their activities. The comments included thoughts that teachers themselves sometimes demotivate students.
