Reservation from mobilization may not be extended due to VLK: a key nuance to know

The lack of documents confirming the passage of the military medical commission (VLK) will not be an obstacle to extending the mobilization reservation. However, citizens may encounter particular difficulties. Experts of the legal portal provided this information.

The right to reservation is granted to employees of enterprises officially classified as critical for the economy and defense of the country. This reservation status has a limited term and can be extended.

A man who had already received a reservation, but whose validity period was expiring, contacted lawyers. He asked if he could get an extension if he had not yet passed the VLK. Lawyer Yevhen Korniychuk reported that in most cases, the absence of a VLK conclusion is not a reason for refusal.

“If there is no red line in the ‘Reserve +’ application, you can be booked without any problems,” he noted.

At the same time, lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan emphasized that the situation changes if the military commissariat enters data on violations of military registration due to an unpassed VLK. In such a case, the citizen may be denied the extension of the reservation and may be subject to mobilization.
