Депутати отримали більше 26 мільйонів гривень на компенсацію оренди житла

Deputies received more than 26 million hryvnias for housing rental compensation

Every third deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received payments for renting housing in Kyiv. Total expenditures from the state budget exceeded 26 million hryvnias.

In 2024, 26.3 million hryvnias were allocated from the budget to compensate parliamentarians for renting real estate in the capital. A third of the deputies – 117 people – received such assistance.

Legislative norms allow compensation to be paid to those representatives of the people who do not have their own housing in Kyiv or in the vicinity, more than 30 kilometers away. These deputies, as a rule, live in their districts and visit the capital only during sessions.

Among parliamentarians, the largest recipient of compensation was the “Servant of the People” faction, which received 19.8 million hryvnias from 87 deputies. The “Holos” faction had seven people with compensation totaling 1.5 million hryvnias. Each of the five deputies from the “European Solidarity” and the “Trust” group received 1.2 million hryvnias.

Among the non-factional deputies, four rented housing and received compensation of 0.9 million hryvnias. Deputies from the “Restoration of Ukraine” and “For the Future” groups received 0.6 and 0.7 million hryvnias, respectively. Representatives of the “Platform for Life and Peace” received 0.3 million hryvnias, and only one deputy from the “Batkivshchyna” political party received 0.2 million hryvnias.

For comparison, approximately the same amount was spent on the restoration of a two-story apartment building in Borodyanka, destroyed during the Russian aggression in 2024—about 26 million hryvnias.
