Mariah Carey shares details of unreleased track featuring Michael Jackson
Mariah Carey has opened up about an unreleased song with Michael Jackson that she planned to include on her new album Here For It All, according to the Daily Mail.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the singer revealed that one of her songs with Prince remained unfinished. She also revealed that she had a finished track with the King of Pop, but its release was blocked by Jackson’s estate, which doesn’t want the song to shift the focus of their future projects.
“I love this song so much, and I’m incredibly disappointed that I can’t include it on the album. It should be on it. Every time I’ve performed it for someone, the reaction has been, ‘Wow,'” Carey shared.
The singer also expressed hope that one day, Michael Jackson’s estate will allow the release of this song, which they worked on with great enthusiasm.
Michael Jackson, born on August 29 and died on June 25, 2009, left his mark on music history as one of the most successful artists. His albums, singles, and compilations have sold more than 1 billion copies worldwide. Jackson played a significant role in the development of popular music, music videos, dance, and fashion.
