The Ministry of Education explained how evasive students are found in universities

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine conducts checks on students to identify those who have entered universities to evade mobilization. These checks are implemented through the State Service for the Quality of Education and, sometimes, through surveys of classmates.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykola Trofymenko said that identifying such individuals is a relatively simple process. He noted that there is a structure responsible for verifying the study’s facts. Based on classmates’ testimonies, it is possible to determine whether a student is actually studying quickly. The ministry is actively working to control and prevent mobilization evasion.

Trofymenko also noted that the number of such cases is small, but information about them will be carefully monitored in the future.
