Blogger Anna Alkhim risks being fined for regular violation of language law
Anna Alkhim may be fined for violating the language law for the systematic use of Russian in public content. This became known thanks to the reports of the People’s Deputy Natalia Pipa, who cited the decision of the Language Ombudsman, Olena Ivanovska. According to the materials that were compiled against the blogger, she faces a fine of up to 11,900 hryvnias.
Olena Ivanovska confirmed that administrative protocols were drawn up against Alkhim for her actions that contradict the legislation on the state language. She constantly creates content in Russian, which serves as the basis for drafting acts.
It is important to note that, according to current legislation, a fine of 3,400 to 8,500 hryvnias is levied for the first violation, and 8,500 to 11,900 hryvnias for a second violation.
The blogger is known for publishing videos and blogs in Russian, as well as for listening to music by Russian artists, which has repeatedly drawn public attention.
Recently, Alkhim published a video of herself performing the song “Spektakl’ okonchen” by Polina Gagarina, who is known for supporting the Russian political regime. In addition, she was involved in another scandal after dancing to Mikhail Krug’s songs at a Polish airport, which also sparked a wave of indignation.
