Kuleba: The aggressor is attacking infrastructure, but cannot undermine our endurance

On the night of October 31, Russian forces carried out a massive drone strike, targeting the railway infrastructure of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported that the Ukrzaliznytsia depot in Sumy, which is key to connecting the city with other settlements in the area, was hit.

This depot is responsible for the technical inspection of cars and their preparation for departure. As a result of the attack, a significant part of the working area was seriously damaged, including the train running on the Sumy-Kyiv route.

Fortunately, the workers reached shelter in time, so there were no casualties among the personnel. Despite the destruction, passenger trains continue to operate: at around seven in the morning, passengers left for the capital on a reserve train from another region.

In addition, one of the drones hit a multi-story building in Sumy, causing a fire that engulfed five apartments and seven balconies. According to the latest data, 12 people were injured and are currently receiving medical care.

Also in the Kharkiv region, a hit to railway infrastructure in the city of Lozova was recorded, leading to changes in train routes and delays.

During the night attack, the enemy also targeted critical and civilian infrastructure in several regions, including Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Odesa.

These attacks are aimed at disrupting transport arteries and threatening the lives of civilians. The restoration of damaged facilities is ongoing, and the authorities express their gratitude to all those working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and provide assistance to the victims.
