The Ministry of Defense presented the “Package of the wounded”: what will be included in the set

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented a new social project called “Wounded Package”. This improved kit will be provided to service members who sustain injuries to maintain comfort during treatment and rehabilitation.

As part of the program initiated by the Ministry of Defense, wounded fighters will be provided with adaptive clothing and personal hygiene products. The department notes that the “Package of the wounded” aims to significantly facilitate medical personnel’s work and increase convenience for the military during recovery.

The kit will include specially designed adaptive clothing that addresses the needs of the wounded. Things feature a free-cut style and textile fasteners for quick, painless access to injured areas. The clothes are designed with anatomical differences between women and men in mind.

The department reported that the first batches of new clothes have already been delivered to medical institutions, with about 50,000 units distributed so far.

The program aims to increase significantly: by the end of 2025, it is planned to provide wounded soldiers with more than 450,000 units of adaptive clothing and 50,000 personal hygiene kits.

It is also worth noting that the pre-trial investigation has been completed against the former director of one of the Ministry of Defense’s departments and the head of a state-owned enterprise that supplied low-quality machine guns to combat units.

The 200 barrels purchased with state budget funds lacked markings and the corresponding technical documentation.
