Reasons for stopping pension payments, other than identification
In Ukraine, several reasons may lead to the suspension or termination of citizens’ pensions. One reason is the failure to provide identification data. Representatives of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reported this.
The decision to suspend pension payments may be made by the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund or by the court.
The grounds for termination of payments can be various circumstances, including:
Submission of unreliable documents when assigning a pension.
departure for permanent residence abroad (unless otherwise provided for by other international agreements of Ukraine);
a pensioner’s application for temporary residence abroad;
obtaining the status of a missing person under exceptional circumstances;
failure to receive pensions for six consecutive months;
inability to undergo physical identification within the time limits established by law;
Other cases provided for by law, for example, the employment of pensioners receiving a pension for long service, or the completion of education for children receiving payments in connection with the loss of a breadwinner.
To restore pension payments, you must contact any Pension Fund service center. Payments are restored within 10 days after all documents and circumstances are reviewed.
For pensioners abroad, a pension restoration application can be submitted by mail. This opportunity is available during martial law and for three months after its end.
It was previously reported that pensions will increase by almost 14%: optimistic news awaits pensioners in the near future.
There is also information about how some pensioners will receive additional payments, potentially totaling thousands of hryvnias.
