Yevhen Khmara presented an original musical work for the 65th anniversary of the Kyiv Metro

The Kyiv Metro celebrated its 65th anniversary, becoming a symbol of the capital, which unites millions of passengers every day. On this day, in the operating metro tunnel, Ukrainian composer and pianist Yevhen Khmara presented his new musical composition, which became a symbol of unity and revival.

The musician placed a white grand piano on the tracks and performed his original work, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. This became a vivid reminder that even in difficult times, art can inspire and unite people who fight for their lives every day.

“The Metro is not just a transport system, it is the heart of Kyiv, which continues to beat even in the most difficult times. It is a center of security and hope, and this is exactly what I wanted to convey through music,” the artist noted.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Yevhen has combined his creativity with volunteer activities. As an ambassador of the Nadiya Foundation, he performs in hospitals and clinics, providing moral support to wounded defenders. His concerts inspire faith and hope in those in need of recovery.

During his performances, the musician organizes charity gatherings to support the military, particularly to provide them with medical equipment and prostheses for those who have lost limbs. Together with the foundation team, he also actively participates in humanitarian missions, delivering the necessary equipment to units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition, Yevhen represents Ukraine on international stages, participating in charity events, concerts, and auctions. Through his performances, he tells the world about the courage of the Ukrainian military and calls for support for Ukraine, turning music into a powerful tool of cultural diplomacy.
