Main events of December 6: CCC evacuates seriously ill patients, tariffs will increase in 2026, PrivatBank reduces limits for pensioners

CCC sends people with serious illnesses to serve

Olena Mikhailova, head of the ULF medical service, said that recently, people with illnesses that usually mean a postponement or unfitness for service have begun to arrive at military units. These people receive the status of “fit” at the CCC level, after which they are sent to the front immediately. Only in the field do military doctors reveal the actual state of conscripts’ health. Mikhailova emphasizes that this situation leads to absurd consequences – military units are forced to “compete” to avoid receiving seriously ill people who cannot perform combat missions and end up in medical units.

Gas tariffs may increase in 2026

The National Commission responsible for regulating energy and utilities has preliminarily approved draft resolutions to increase tariffs for gas distribution network operators in 2026. After the documents are published on the regulator’s website, a discussion will take place where citizens can express their opinions and suggestions. The final decision will be made after considering all the feedback. Industry representatives note that these changes are necessary to compensate for operators’ accumulated losses and stabilize network operations.

Weather forecast for New Year’s Eve

December this year demonstrates unexpected weather fluctuations: sometimes snow, sometimes sun, but real winter frosts are not expected. Forecasters warn that the end of the year will bring Ukrainians warmth, wet roads, and a spring mood. In the capital, the weather will be cloudy and humid, with temperatures dropping below zero only on the 23rd. At the same time, Lviv residents can expect more sun, though they should be prepared for rain or snow for 12 days. The temperature at this time will remain stably above zero.

New regulations for subsidy recipients

Ukrainians receiving housing subsidies are required to report any changes that may affect their allocation to the Pension Fund within 30 days. The relevant information concerns a wide range of situations that may affect the right to receive state assistance for housing and communal services.

PrivatBank is experiencing a new scandal regarding pensioners.

PrivatBank is facing new problems: a 70-year-old client who has used the bank’s services for many years discovered that her credit limit had been sharply reduced. The woman noted that until recently she had more than 6 thousand hryvnias in credit funds, and now she has only 393 hryvnias at her disposal. According to the staff, the reduction in the limit is related to her 70th birthday, as the bank has the right to reduce or even cancel the credit limit in such cases.
