Family business and land worth millions: life of the family of the new head of the forestry office
Vitaliy Koshmak became the new director of the Polesie Forest Office of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”. In connection with his appointment, journalists analyzed his family’s financial indicators.
Recently, Koshmak received:
Salary at Dubno Forestry — UAH 697 thousand;
Salary at SE “Forests of Ukraine” — UAH 138.5 thousand;
As the head of the Polesie Forest Office — UAH 100 thousand.
His wife, Marina Koshmak, is registered as an individual entrepreneur (KVED 10.85 — production of ready meals) and declared UAH 2.37 million in profit for the year.
On October 31, 2024, Vitaliy Koshmak purchased:
Three land plots in the village of Velikiye Verbche with an area of 20,859 m² (more than 2 hectares);
An apartment with an area of 57.1 m² in the same town (50% belongs to him, 50% to his brother Serhiy Koshmak).
His wife owns two residential buildings with shops in Stepan and Maly Verbche. In 2023, she purchased another house measuring 269 m² in Maly Verbche for 500 thousand UAH. There is also an apartment in Rivne with an area of 43.6 m², registered to Natalia Tyvonchuk, possibly a relative. Additionally, she owns an unfinished construction – a garden house with an area of 233 m² in Velyky Zhytyn near Rivne.
In June 2024, Koshmak’s wife purchased a 2011 Skoda Superb. Vitaliy has 250 thousand UAH in cash, and his wife has 5 thousand dollars and 3 thousand euros.
After his appointment in the “Forests of Ukraine” system, new assets began to appear in the family. The primary source of income is the wife’s business activities, but the scale of the acquisitions, land plots, and recent buildings raises questions about the sources of financing.
It is also worth noting that the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Oleksandr Tsybort, declared over 19 million hryvnias in savings, as well as several real estate objects, shares in foreign companies, and a Tesla car.
