The Foreign Intelligence Service notes the process of de-sovereignization of certain regions of Russia in favor of China
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy published the results of the report by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleg Ivashchenko, on the Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy noted that the report contained essential data on Ukraine’s foreign policy and Russia’s economic situation. In particular, it emphasized the dependence of Russian companies and the state on Chinese investments, technologies, and political decisions.
According to the President, there is an actual process of de-sovereignization of parts of Russian territory in favor of China through the use of resources and the sale of scarce goods. It also indicates the intensification of military-industrial cooperation between China and Russia. This information is also confirmed by the intelligence of Ukraine’s other partner states.
Zelenskyy instructed the Foreign Intelligence Service to more closely monitor cooperation between Moscow and Beijing across all areas related to Ukraine’s national interests, as well as the interests of Ukraine’s diplomatic partners in Europe and the United States. The President emphasized that Russia’s aggressive actions should not undermine global security.
In addition, Ivashchenko’s report included information about Russia’s political campaigns aimed at destabilizing Ukraine. The President emphasized that Ukrainian special services are ready to counteract and block the activities of all individuals and structures that support the enemy.
The work of foreign intelligence on the return of Ukrainian children and the exchange of prisoners was also discussed. Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone involved in these processes.
