Святкування Різдва та Нового року в Україні: які ризики обстрілів від Росії

Christmas and New Year celebrations in Ukraine: what are the risks of shelling from Russia?

The second half of December in Ukraine always has a special atmosphere. Despite power outages, water problems, and news of explosions, people still want to bring home Christmas trees, decorate them with garlands, and make holiday menus.

Christmas on December 25 and the New Year 2026 are not just dates; they are symbols of resilience and the desire to continue living despite all difficulties. However, there is an unspoken question that arises in the minds of many: can Russia, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, interfere in the holidays with its shelling? Should we expect attacks on the 25th or the 31st, and how dangerous will it be?

The rational part suggests: “Prepare for anything.” However, emotions are drawn to symbolic ideas. Therefore, let’s consider not analysts’ forecasts, but a symbolic view through Tarot cards, which reflect moods and trends but should not be taken as the ultimate truth.

The schedule was drawn up for Christmas and New Year with three main questions: will there be an intention to strike, what the scale might be, and who should be careful.

Regarding Christmas, a combination fell out that does not promise complete silence, but does not indicate chaos either. The cards indicate a demonstration of force, not a desire to destroy. This may be an attempt at psychological pressure – to remind us of the war, even on a holiday. Although massive shelling is not predicted on December 25, complete silence is not expected either. Instead, it is worth being prepared for local threats and nervousness.

On New Year’s Eve, the situation looks more emotionally complex. The cards indicate possible irritation and attempts to disrupt the holiday. For the Russian side, December 31 may become a trigger. This does not mean mandatory shelling, but the risk of provocations is higher.

The scenario for the New Year, according to the Tarot, does not promise an apocalypse, but it shows that frivolity can be a dangerous factor. You should be especially careful in large cities, front-line regions, and areas with critical infrastructure.

It is important to emphasize that although the cards indicate risk, they do not depict broken holidays; instead, they reflect reality: Ukrainians know how to celebrate differently, with caution. Holidays are not actually canceled – they become more conscious.
