Taxpayer card registration will be simplified: Ukraine will introduce the option through ”Diya” and the Central Tax Center
Ukraine is introducing a new approach to issuing a taxpayer card, making the process faster and more convenient for citizens, including children and their parents.
The government recently adopted a resolution that will simplify the process of obtaining this critical document. The card is required when entering higher education institutions, opening bank accounts, official employment, and in many other cases. This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to the new rules, the card can be issued in two formats. Children will be able to order it online through the mobile application “Diya”.
There is also the option to personally contact the Center for Administrative Services to have the document issued offline.
After the registration is completed, the card will always be available in digital format on a smartphone. If necessary, users can print the document or share the electronic version with institutions.
In addition, the government plans to expand the service’s functionality. In the future, adults will also be able to order an electronic card, and the card can be reissued in case of loss or damage to the document.
The Minister noted that implementing this initiative will make the state document more accessible to Ukrainians and significantly reduce bureaucratic procedures.
