“Freezing in the center of Europe”: a famous Russian actress with an emotional appeal to support Ukraine
Popular Russian actress and TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva, who has been openly condemning the Kremlin’s actions since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and has decided to leave Russia, has once again expressed her support for Ukraine.
Amid constant attacks on energy infrastructure, Lazareva called on the international community not to ignore the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
On her Instagram, she shared an emotional message in which she expressed concern for Ukrainians who are left without heating and electricity. The actress noted that she constantly thinks about this situation both day and night.
“People in Ukraine are freezing, and this thought does not leave me for a moment. I think about them every morning when I wake up, and every night before going to bed… I am scared to think that in the 21st century, here in Europe, where others still live happy lives, others suffer from cold, despair and fear,” she wrote.
Lazareva also noted that she feels the absurdity and injustice of the situation. She is constantly looking for opportunities to help, despite the feeling that her efforts may be insufficient.
“I don’t understand how I can stop this war, this madness, when people’s lives are being played with like toys. What can I do for those who are freezing in Ukraine? I’m trying to do something, but I feel powerless,” the actress shared.
These words emphasize that for Tatyana Lazareva, the war is not just a newsreel, but a personal tragedy.
Let us recall that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Tatyana was in Kyiv and lived in Ukraine for a long time. She has repeatedly called on her compatriots to protest and openly express their opinion about the war.
