Start insulating basements and attics: spring won’t wait for you

The situation in Kyiv’s housing and communal services is currently extremely difficult, and it will not improve with the onset of spring. Residents of the capital should unite and take active measures, starting by insulating their basements and attics.
Ukrainian diplomat and politician Volodymyr Omelyan expressed this opinion on the “KYIV24” channel.
He noted that simple, quick solutions are needed to address existing problems, such as thermal insulation of the upper and lower floors of residential buildings. The government program to generate installations is certainly a positive step, but its implementation will take a long time.
“We will have to solve many issues on our own. Unfortunately, the situation in the government is in a state of collapse,” Omelyan emphasized, adding that these problems will remain relevant for a long time to come.
Volodymyr Omelyan also expressed hope that, instead of numerous promises from the president, residents of the capital will see real actions in support.
“I would like to see real steps from the Office of the President. Criticism without action is no help. Specific solutions to current problems are needed, in particular at the level of district administrations,” he emphasized.
Earlier, changes in approaches to the assignment of pensions and social payments in Ukraine were discussed. In addition, it was reported that not all stores will be able to purchase generators, which will increase food prices. Children in kindergartens are also forced to remain hungry due to power outages.
