According to Axios, Trump said during the conversation that a peace agreement could be reached by the end of 2026, although he wants the conflict to end in a month. Thus, according to the expert, we have another so-called deadline; it is difficult to estimate how many there have already been.

“These terms are not being fulfilled, not because Ukraine should discuss something. We defend ourselves and are not aggressors. Why are we constantly being made some demands? As if it is within our power. If Russia stops shelling this month, the war will stop. It is obvious. It is necessary to put pressure on Putin, as Zelensky calls for. We put pressure on Russia, and then the conflict will really end,” Musienko commented.

In his opinion, the global situation has not changed, because during the conversation, Trump again emphasized the need to end the war as soon as possible. However, according to US logic, a quick end means that Ukraine should agree to all concessions.
