Ukrainians plan to update water tariffs: payments will increase significantly

In Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky, a review of tariffs for centralized water supply and sewage is planned. The initiative was put forward by the KP “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskvodokanal”, as became known from official information from the city council.

Back in November last year, tariffs were reduced by approximately 4%. Now the company has announced the need for new changes, associated with increased costs for operating water supply and sewage systems.

According to company representatives, the current tariffs were approved by the city council’s decision of December 18, 2025. Since the beginning of 2026, residents of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky have been paying:

44.14 UAH per cubic meter of water supply;

43.06 UAH per cubic meter of sewage.

As of now, according to the company, the existing tariffs do not cover the actual costs of providing services; therefore, the planned cost increase is approximately 24%.

The need to adjust tariffs is due to several economic factors, including:

increasing electricity prices;
increasing the subsistence minimum;
changes in legislation;
increasing the cost of fuel.
With the adoption of new tariffs, the cost of centralized water supply may increase from 44.14 UAH to 55.72 UAH per cubic meter, and wastewater from 43.06 UAH to 52.39 UAH per cubic meter.
