Fines from the CCC: how not to lose money, even with a deferral

Citizens who violate the rules of military registration should be aware of their administrative responsibility, regardless of whether they have a deferral. In case of failure to make a payment, fines may increase significantly.

Conscripts, conscripts and reservists are obliged to comply with the prescribed rules of military registration, in accordance with current legislation.

In the event of violations, territorial recruitment centers have the right to impose administrative fines.

Additionally, the presence of a deferral from mobilization does not exempt from liability for previous violations. Even those who already have or are only receiving a deferral may be subject to a fine.

For example, a man turned to lawyers who, during employment at a school, was forced to confirm the fact of a violation in the “Reserve +” application – he did not pass a military medical examination after losing the “limitedly fit” status.

After that, he issued a deferral as a pedagogical worker, but asked whether he needed to pay a fine in this situation.

Lawyers emphasize: obtaining a deferral and imposing a fine are two independent processes. Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan noted that fulfilling duties after the deadline does not relieve him of responsibility for failure to fulfill them on time.

He noted that the man will have to pay a fine of 8,500 hryvnias. If he does not make the payment on time, the amount will increase to 17,000 hryvnias.

In case of further non-payment, the case materials will be sent to the enforcement service, and the total amount of debt may reach almost 40,000 hryvnias, which carries additional financial risks.

It is worth noting that notifications about possible fines for violating military registration rules, in particular for failing to pass a military medical commission, have appeared in the “Reserve+” application. However, lawyers emphasize that self-notification is not a guarantee of automatic imposition of administrative responsibility.
