Coffee prices are staggering: updated price list for your favorite morning drink

The latest data shows the difference in the cost of instant coffee of popular brands in large supermarkets of Ukraine.

According to the analysis of prices, the cost of the same product can vary significantly – sometimes the difference reaches several hundred hryvnias. This means that when buying coffee, consumers can save money by comparing offers from different outlets.

Price monitoring information shows that for instant coffee in supermarkets there is a difference of tens, and sometimes hundreds of hryvnias. This is especially noticeable in the case of well-known brands present in most markets.

For example, a 100 g package of Jacobs Monarch instant coffee is most affordable in the ATB chain – for approximately 193.90 UAH. In other supermarkets, the price is much higher: in Silpo – about 289 UAH, in MegaMarket – almost 300 UAH, in EcoMarket – about 334 UAH, in Fora – from 327 to 345 UAH, and in Metro the cost reaches 357.48 UAH. Thus, customers can save more than 160 UAH by choosing a store for their purchase.

Speaking of Jacobs Milka Cappuccino Choco coffee in a 500 g package, the lowest price is observed in EcoMarket – about 278.80 UAH. In Metro it will cost about 322.92 UAH, and in Silpo – about 324 UAH. Thus, the difference between the minimum and maximum price exceeds 45 UAH.

A significant price spread is also characteristic of NESCAFÉ Gold instant coffee (280 g). The cheapest offer — about 339 UAH — is recorded in the Maudau online store. At the same time, in the ATB network, this product costs about 636.50 UAH, which is 300 UAH more expensive.

A similar situation is with “Chornya Karta” Gold coffee (190 g). On Maudau, it can be purchased for about 358 UAH, while in “EkoMarket” the price reaches 389.90 UAH. In Auchan, the cost increases to 562.60 UAH, and in “Silpo” — to 589 UAH. Thus, the difference between the cheapest and most expensive offers exceeds 230 UAH.

Experts recommend that consumers compare prices in different supermarkets and online stores before buying. It turns out that the price for the same brand of coffee can vary by 300 UAH, which allows you to save significantly in the process of regular purchases.
