Ukrainian schools plan to introduce new lessons to prepare children for war

In Ukraine, the number of proposals that were recently considered radical is growing. Now they are becoming part of a serious discussion: it is proposed to start training for national resistance already at school age.

This initiative was put forward by Maksym Zhorin, deputy commander of the Third Army Corps. He believes that it is in adolescence that the worldview, character and ability to adapt to challenges are formed.

Training should not be similar to traditional military drills, which can scare many. The main goal is to interest teenagers and make training interactive and as close to real life as possible.

According to the military man, work is already underway with young people, but this is not enough. A systemic state strategy is needed for changes in the educational process. The main thing is to move away from the outdated principle of “memorizing and forgetting”.

It is proposed to focus on practical skills: orientation, basic safety, teamwork and psychological resilience. This is something that can really come in handy in real life.

Special attention should be paid to modern teaching methods: interactivity, game elements and competitions. This will allow for more effective interaction with teenagers who are used to the rapid perception of information and the dynamism of the modern world.

Let us recall that teachers are also initiating the installation of cameras in classrooms so that children cannot deceive their parents.
