The mobilized suffer from diseases: serious complications from TCC
In the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there is a significant increase in cases of diseases among the mobilized, which often lead to serious complications, in particular, pneumonia. This causes mass hospitalizations, and some cases end fatally.
Military ombudsman Olga Reshetylova reported on these problems, stressing that the situation is much more serious than individual cases. Hundreds of hospitalizations due to complications were recorded in one of the educational centers during the winter period. During the inspection, it turned out that only three doctors work in the large center, because the other doctors were sent to the military medical commissions.
It is known that in such conditions medical personnel cannot examine all soldiers in time, which leads to the fact that hospitalization occurs only when the condition of patients is already critical.
In addition, the mobilized often arrive at the training centers already sick. According to the ombudsman, the deterioration of their health can begin even at the stage of stay in territorial recruitment centers, where the conditions do not always meet the necessary standards.
The situation is also complicated by the crowding of people in closed rooms, where infections can spread quickly, turning single cases of SARS into mass outbreaks.
Another serious problem is the reluctance to hospitalize servicemen due to the risk that they may leave the hospital on their own accord. Such cases have already been recorded, which creates additional pressure on the command.
In response to high-profile incidents, documentary checks have been initiated. In particular, an analysis of the circumstances of the deaths of soldiers in the 425th Assault Regiment is being conducted in order to find out whether medical assistance was provided in time and in full.
