Ostapchuk and his family emigrate to Canada because of the war

Host Volodymyr Ostapchuk, along with his wife Kateryna Poltavskaya and son Timofey, have made an important decision – to move to Canada.

Kateryna shared this news, noting that the family had been considering this step for a year, but finally decided to move recently.

“Our family first started thinking about emigrating a year ago, but I personally looked for many reasons to delay. However, the situation when the shelling hit our house became decisive for us,” she said.

Among the motives for moving was the safety of the family, in particular, ensuring the future of their son.

Kateryna also noted that her husband has ties to Canada, as he studied there and received resident status, and it is also important that his children from his first marriage live in this country.

“My husband is a resident of Canada, and given that his older children live there, this decision seems natural to us. I love Ukraine and Kyiv, but it is important to think not only about myself, but also about Timofey. Personally, it is easier for me to look at this decision as a possibility of returning in the future,” she added.

Volodymyr Ostapchuk plans to continue his career as a presenter in Canada and has the opportunity to teach at universities.

The family also intends to sell some of their property, including cars, one of which costs about $90,000.
